PRO‑BEHAVIOUR – International Behaviour Standard for Professional Drivers

(English front‑page introduction)

About PRO‑BEHAVIOUR

About PRO‑BEHAVIOUR

PRO‑BEHAVIOUR is the international behavioural standard for professional drivers. It defines the four core domains of driver behaviour and provides a unified framework for training, assessment and documentation across on‑road driving, simulator training and yard manoeuvring.

The standard is designed to be neutral, professional and globally applicable.

The Four Behavioural Domains

  • Safety — awareness, observation, anticipation
  • Responsibility — ethics, norms, professional conduct
  • Environment & Efficiency — fuel use, engine load, sustainability
  • Driving Style — stability, precision, calm steering

These domains describe the behavioural expectations of a professional driver in all training environments.

Supported by Four Pedagogical Models

The PRO‑BEHAVIOUR standard is operationalised through four pedagogical models:

  • PA‑model — pedagogical structure describing the standard
  • TÆNK‑model — Time, Adaptability, Levels, Classroom Management
  • SER‑model — Situation · Execution · Reflection
  • Manoeuvre Model — structured yard manoeuvring framework

Together, these models form a complete international training system.
